More than 5000 anaesthesias for general surgery (incl. wide range of surgical procedures across surgical specializations) in adults including of short-term anaesthesia, ambulatory and one day surgery, extensive operations abdominal and hundreds of thoracis operations of lungs and upper GIT. Experienced in wide range anaesthetic approaches for procedural sedation and analgesia.
Extensive experience with adult intensive care medicine in length of more than 7 years at ICU Motol University Hospital in Prague (22 beds, Trauma Centre), Queens Medical Centre -Major Trauma Centre (one of three biggest Trusts in UK) in Nottingham, United Kingdom, and University Hospital FNKV in Prague- Major Trauma Centre, including taking care of patients requiring CRRT, ECMO, ROTEM, invasive forms of hemodynamic etc. and patients urgently admitted incl. major traumas. Moreover, Dr. Kozák has had a chance to take care of patients after lung transplants and gained large experience with heavy sepsis patients and patients after major transplants/ haematology disorders and also burns. He started subspecialty training in Pain medicine in January 2017 with focus on Interventional. He takes part regularly in major Czech and international meetings on Pain medicine, less often lately of Intensive care, and Anaesthesia. He has finished his pain training in 2018 and continues working in this field since. He is getting ready now for FIPP and CIPS exams.
At the moment Dr. Kozák works as a pain specialist in Prague University Hospital FNKV, he also works in private Pain centre Waltrovka under Pavel Kolar and he set up a small private multidisciplinary pain clinic in Prague.
